Alex Uranus grew up in Boston, and was born on March 3, 1900. As a child, he always seemed to be a softer and shy kid by his peers and parents. Alex would prefer to focus on his studies and would be considered a bit of a nerd and would be picked on. He did not seem to mind at the time, he assumed they would learn from their actions or better themselves in the future. Alex was born just before he could get involved in WW1, but he was supportive of the Entente. Once WW2 came around, he was deemed too old to fight against the Axis powers. Instead, Alex used his expertise in Chemistry to aid in the development in chemical weaponry that could possibly be used. During the 60’s Alex was looking to retire from his job as a chemical engineer, having not made a name for himself for his work, but content with what he had done thus far. He would watch the ongoing civil rights movement that was ongoing in Boston, occasionally marching alongside them to show his support for the rights of every man, regardless of color. Eventually, Clan Tremere caught wind of an older gentleman with an expertise in chemistry that was starting to look into the occult side of the world to find some purpose to life. As Alex began to dabble in the Occult, he soon made friends with some of the Tremere of Boston, unaware of them being Kindred. They posed him a question, about a well known ritual, about how to reduce the resource cost on how to perform it, leaving it up to hypotheticals on if it could be done. Alex managed to propose a solution that worked out, cutting the cost of the ritual in half, and making it much more viable for common usage. This got the note of Ian Carfax, who embraced Alex into the Clan. Alex Uranus, during his time working on civil rights in Boston, managed to find love in his old age. Secretly marrying his husband, Dave Whittaker. The two of them would go on to adopt a daughter, Max Uranus. After his embrace, Alex had to abandon these two, as the Tremere deemed them to not be good influences and an easy potential breach if things were to get out of hand. Instead, forcing Alex to stay in the Chantry until any possibility they could find him is gone. Dave would continue to raise Max on his own until she moved out to travel the United States as a small-time Musician. He would later pass alone in his home in Boston… and Max would go on to disappear sometime during 1988.
