Havok was born was born Iain Robert Mac Brea, the fourth son of a Scottish heir to the Mac Brea clan, in 1554. As church records indicate, the clan leader sent his three sons to France for education, and dies during their absence. On the return, the three eldest sons were barbarously murdered, in September 1567, by lesser cousins. His father would have been next but their land was being encroached by external barbarous force and he instead took Havok and his siblings away across the river into an adjacent valley. The lesser cousins were slaughtered, which would have made his father the chief of Clan MacBrea, but he had no interest in such a title. Young Iain, however, wanting to reclaim the honor of his name, left home to pursue an apprenticeship and eventual squire work in England, under a knight named Laone.
1932: Born to New Jersey family as Ronald Cook

There is little record here for some time, but Iain is mentioned again in 1569, having stood in as a champion at a tourney and having raised some favor from local lords. In 1569, Iain MacBrea is listed as serving as a man-at-arms serving under Humphrey Gilbert during the First Desmond Rebellion, where Gilbert and other English commanders put down an Irish rebellion and, to make their victory more complete, scorched and salted the lands of the rebels, who fled. He then continued to serve Humphrey throughout the rest of the conflict, which lasted several years. Following this, in 1572 Iain MacBrea was made a Baronet, and is listed in several tourneys over the next few years, but shortly before the beginning of the second Desmond rebellion, Iain MacBrea disappears from records. There is no death listed in any church records.

According to a source you uncover, a ghoul named Iain is recorded as having served a Ventrue named Balero, who left for the Americas in 1671, almost a hundred years later. This Iain, however, was the subject of some manner of exchange near the end of the 17th century, whose experience and reputation was traded as chattel in the performance of a boon. For reasons which remain unrecorded, Iain MacBrea was Embraced in 1683 by Elanor de Valois, an Architect of Clan Brujah. Under her orders, MacBrea was to serve his agoge in the settlement of Caliburn under tutelage of his broodmates.

Harpy records indicate he was Acknowledged by Prince Thomas Sandalwood (of Clan Gangrel), the first Prince of Caliburn, in 1687. He entered Torpor some time around 1702, and does not appear on records again until 1845. Upon leaving Torpor, he assumed the name of Havok, and spent a lot of time engaging with the rising Anarch Movement in the area. One particularly scathing Harpy remarks that Havok was offered, and that he gleefully accepted, the role of Baron around that time, but that he later left the position. It is noted that, at the time, Havok had a severe disagreement with a member of House Morningstar, but the records do not indicate what this disagreement was about.

In 1861, Havok again disappears from records until the 2000's, when he became active again. Havok at this time began to put his efforts into growing the infrastructure of the city, and opening small businesses under fake names.
