Selene Blackwood is a Ventrue in the Camarilla. She is both the Ventrue Primogen and Caliburn Seneschal.

History

Prior to Caliburn

Selene Bianchi was born to a well-to-do family and lived in the Boston area before her Embrace. Her father worked as a diplomat, while her mother was a well-respected college professor who taught English Literature at Northeastern University. She was Embraced about two years before deciding to move to Caliburn due to the astronomically high rent in the seaport district and the whims of her sire.

Lucien Blackwood, her mostly absentee sire, is a CFO for an accounting firm. Due to his job and being a workaholic, he had little time to manage her accounting, much to the Prince of Boston's dismay. Lucien originally gave that responsibility to his personal secretary, Miriam, before Selene announced she would be moving to Caliburn. The Prince and her sire were made aware of this and allowed her to do so. To this day, she does not know why she was Embraced and feels that the only reason Lucien let her leave was to live in obscurity, as she is supposedly deceased to those she knew as a kine. From then on, she adopted her sire's last name.

House Redhart

After spending some time on Caliburn and announcing herself to the previous Seneschal, Anna Beale, Selene was put under the wing of Maxmillian Saber to continue her accounting and was adopted into House Morningstar as a result. She has now renounced this house, refusing to be affiliated with it due to the misdeeds of Leto and her atrocities. Under the advice of Elder Gabriel Payne, she and several other Ventrue Neonates decided to create their own house, House Redhart, with the main goal of restoring the respect of Clan Ventrue on the island and hunting down Leto and her allies.

Appointment to Primogen

Selene has since introduced herself to the previous Prince of Caliburn Island, Jim McCoy, and has been acknowledged as a Neonate by the Caliburn court. She was appointed as the Clan Ventrue Primogen despite her young age and takes her role seriously. Her main goal is to track down Leto and her whereabouts at the behest of Prince, His Imperial Highness William Biltmore of Boston. She owns the Imperial Bar, as it is Ventrue territory, and is part of the River Devils coterie.

Appointment to Seneschal

During the memorial held at Chalice Hill Cemetery on July 6th, 2052, Selene was appointed to the position of Seneschal by His Majesty Prince Kelson O'Dell. Selene stepped forward and said that she did not intend to step down from her position as Ventrue Primogen, and would hold both concurrently.

Appointment to Prince

As of 8/24/24 due to Kelson O'Dell stepping down, Selene has claimed praxis and leaving the position of Seneschal open. The role of Primogen now belongs to Elder Payne.
