This is a proposal for a change to the Dark Skylines House Rules.
It may not be approved for play, or may be in testing. Please check with a member of the Narrator Team if you are unsure.

Dark Skylines is filled with members of different levels of LARPing experience from a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and creeds. What we all share is a love of our stories and characters. The most difficult lesson to learn as a player is that we are simply a thread in the larger collaborative story. In order to allow opportunities for every player to have their cool moment in our stories, in addition to the Graduation System, we utilize a system to spread around the more powerful, restricted character types.

High Restriction

Across all of your characters, you have only 1 character that possess any item from this list.

  • Control of an Iconic stock location
  • Regional positions or higher
  • Fame 4+

Mid Restriction

Across all of your characters, you may have only 1 character who possess each item from this list. The restriction is per-item: you can, for example, have one character who has Golconda Seeker, another with Alternate Identity 5, and a third who is the Virago; you could not have one character who is the Prince and one character who is the Doyen.

  • Power Level 3+
  • Rare Clan or bloodline
  • Non-Tremere/Giovanni with Thaumaturgy or Necromancy
  • The same Clan/Tribe/Kith
  • Officer Position in the same sect (excluding Primogen)
  • Major officers: Prince, Advocate, Doyen, Harpy, Seneschal, Sheriff, Constable, Hatchet, Virago, or Warden
  • Minor officers: Keeper of Elysium, Guardian of Sacred Spaces, Architect, Watchdog, Scourge, Primogen
  • A 5-point Fetish, Special Gift, Artifact, or Treasure
  • Alternate identity 3+ or Clan Adoption merit
  • Prestigious Sire merit
  • Unbondable merit
  • Supernatural Ally merit
  • Machiavellian Prodigy merit
  • Master of Puppets, Monopoly, Paragon, or Entrepreneur merits
  • Emissary to the Camarilla OR Ambassador to the Camarilla merit

Low Restriction

Across all of your characters, you may have no more than 2 characters who possess each item from this list.

  • Elder Status
  • Fame background
  • Additional Uncommon Discpline merit
  • Character in the same sect (Except autarkis)
  • Path of Enlightenment
  • Special Gift merit
  • Assistant officers: Talon, Deputy, etc.
