Tony Milliner
Tony Milliner is the great-grandchild of Francis Milliner and a Giovanni in the Independent Alliance. Tony was sired by Corvelia Giovanni shortly after meeting him at the Independent Alliance 2052 Symposium.

Early History[edit | edit source]
Tony was born into the Milliner family, liked by many but loved by none. Surrounded by tragedy from a young age, he lost his father, Enzo, and his grandfather, Vito, early on. His mother, unable to cope with the mafia life, left him behind. While the family continued to care for her as a widow, Tony was passed from one relative to another, never staying in the same home for more than a year. The constant comings and goings of people in his life made it difficult for him to find stability.
In response, Tony built an emotional wall between himself and those who cared for him, trying to shield himself from attachment while he searched for structure. The only consistent presence in his life was his great-grandfather, Francis Milliner, or "Gramps." Though Tony eventually grew up in the Milliner manor, Gramps was always too busy to spend much time with him. Despite having everything handed to him on a golden platter, Tony felt incredibly lonely.
Tony quickly figured out the criminal nature of his family, long before he turned 10. The idea of becoming a "gangster" excited him, offering a sense of belonging and value within the family. However, the lack of stability in his life left him uninterested in his own growth. His home-schooled education suffered, with few caretakers being skilled at teaching, leaving him several grades behind. No one expected much from Tony or pushed him to succeed. Most of the family assumed he would become a decent bruiser or bodyguard, but never hold any noteworthy position.
On his 18th birthday, Tony was swiftly ghouled and introduced to the kindred side of the family, a moment that filled him with excitement. Finally, he understood his place and felt he belonged within the organization that had previously only brushed past him. Francis Milliner, however, does not expect much from Tony. He has other descendants who have been properly raised and would make exemplary family members. Though Gramps loves Tony, he sees him as a liability—untamed, ungroomed, and eager, but too eager.
The direction of Tony's life changed when he met Sammie Okra at the 2052 Symposium. He met with him and grew to respect him in the little time he knew him before watching him selflessly sacrifice himself to save the life of Janus Guard Chuy Pisanob within the Shadowlands. Evellen Willow asked for him to give his statement on the night to her at the Conclave of Hartford which he unfortunately missed, instead attending the memorial for Sammie Okra at the Chalice Hill Cemetery. At the cemetery, Tony was approached by the current Doyen of the Independent Alliance, Corvelia Giovanni, who showed interest in embracing him. After reaching out, Francis Milliner agreed, and Tony was to be embraced the following gathering.
A gathering was held at Isabella's where the Giovanni family and the Independent Alliance celebrated Tony's acceptance into the Giovanni bloodline. Uncle Arlo among others gave him words of encouragement and told him how proud they were for the choices he was making. His life was permanently changed as Corvelia Giovanni bit into his neck, her clan curse filling Tony with the worst pain he would ever feel as he screamed in agony the entire time he died before Corvelia fed him her own vitae and he became a corpse.

Tony awoke the following sunset, eager to use his new found abilities to try to track down and bring back Sammie Okra, and to make his sire and family proud.
