Axocayo
Axocayo was a Ghoul in the Camarilla. He held the title of Lord-Consul to the Prince of the Grande Cour de la Belle Martinique, Her Majesty Mercédès LaSganareuse. He arrived on Caliburn Island at the request of Lady LaSganareuse along with Natalia Leone and other retainers.
In recognition of his ongoing service to the Camarilla, and to more effectively expand the influence of Martinique in broader Camarilla affairs, he was embraced by his Prince, Mercédes LaSganareuse, becoming a Fledging Ventrue and Consul-Ancien to the Prince of the Grande Cour de la Belle Martinique.
History
Born in a jungle village outside of Cancún, Ignacio Garcia Jiménez grew up very privileged, compared to his colleagues. His natural gift at Linguistics awarded him a scholarship, which helped him escape the turbulent political climate of the time. In the 1980s, with the United States antagonizing Mexico, sparking a recession, and increased hostility towards the Nahua, his people, Ignacio decided to leave his troubles behind and finish his studies elsewhere.
After some time island hopping throughout the Caribbean, Ignacio found a home for himself on Martinique, working as a translator. He eventually found himself working alongside the supernatural, facilitating deals between various parties during the infancy of Her Majesty, Madame LaSganareuse's Praxis of Fort-de-France. For this utility, he was brought under her wing as a Ghoul.
Eventually, in 1998, Ignacio returned to Mexico on the will of his Prince, as one of her first Envoy Missions, to connect and collaborate with Kindred of other Domains. While there, Ignacio took advantage of his proximity to home and reunited with his friends, Xóchitl and Cipactli. Emboldened by their stories of fighting alongside the Zapatista, a new sense of pride spurred him on to rename himself Axocayo, and to embrace his cultural heritage. His friends would accompany him back to Martinique and likewise entered the service of Her Majesty, Madame LaSganareuse, as fellow Ghouls.
In the 2010s, during the first Campaign of Martinique against the Sabbat, Axocayo proved himself by locating Sabbat hideouts during the day, tracking down resources and helping to coordinate strikes against key targets. For this service, he and several other Ghouls who did similarly, were awarded the status of Consul, granting them a limited autonomy for their provable merits. As a Consul-Fondateur, Axocayo's influence and experience grew, helping capitalize on Martinique's gains and further cementing it as a Camarilla stronghold within the Antilles and the broader region of Central America.
