Belle E. Thorne
Belle Elaine Thorne is a Dark Skylines character approved on October 30, 2023 played by Beelzebuddy. This character specializes in "social warfare" and Thaumaturgy. Belle is inspired by the aesthetics of Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines game, a foil to Blair Collins (another character portayed by Beelzebuddy), and the person behind the character.
Before Kindred Life[edit | edit source]
Belle was born and raised in Massachusetts for most of her mortal life. She, however, moved away from her hometown with her boyfriend to persue her education at Salem University to study Psychology in hopes of becoming a PsyD. During her time as a Psychology major at the university, her psychology professor was the person she interacted with the most. Her professor, Dr. Darian Lee, was the only professor who did night classes for her Abnormal Psychology class. He often asked her about the typical things a professor would ask a college student... other things not so much. Dr. Lee would ask her about what she knows about the "occult". It wasn't uncommon that Belle and her partner often consumed media from serial killers to the occult, it was something they enjoyed. Half the reason why they decided to start a life here was their fondness for the supernatural. "But that's all fucked up stories parents would tell their kids" Belle would say in jest.
One night, Belle was doing her research on some topic she heard about online. While scrolling through, she stumbled upon a post about a book. There wasn't much about the book that looked out of the ordinary, a simple black leather book only 2.5 inches thick. Despite how ordinary the book looked, Belle was... affixed to it. She's seen that book before and something compelled her to go find it. Belle snuck into the university, snuck up to the library, the door was suspiciously unlocked but she continued to press on. As she looked through almost every shelf trying to find the book, she felt someone's presence behind her.
Belle doesn't remember anything else after the embrace by her own professor.
Kindred Life in Salem[edit | edit source]
After Belle's embrace and moving her education fully to online study she took up a night-shift job at The Black Bookmark, a bookstore a few blocks away from her apartment. She learned the ways of Salem's Chantry, and was a pawn among the Camarilla. Through she found her ways of making herself useful in her own way. Information was the key to getting her way in this new Kindred life. Belle wanted nothing more than to forever be with the love of her life but knew this life would cause her to continue without him at some point. In return for information requested by a Bruhaj Anarch, she wanted this Anarch to embrace her partner so they would live their lives together. Her partner, nor the Camarilla are aware of this embrace.
Moments before arriving to Caliburn Island[edit | edit source]
By order of the Prince of Salem, Pheobe the Nosferatu, she has come to Caliburn island to help the kindred of the area. The Prince was vauge saying that "Once you go to this island, you may never return".
Kindred Life on Caliburn Island[edit | edit source]
Belle arrived to Caliburn Island to help out the Kindred of the island with their zombie problem. Thorne later became William Bagg's whip in the Caliburn Chantry.
