Darius Marcus
Darius Marcus was an Elder Ventrue on Caliburn Island. As a childe of House Morningstar, he was wanted by all the sects on the island.

Much of Darius Marcus's history is unknown.
First Estate Raid March 9th, 2052[edit | edit source]
Selene Blackwood, the Ventrue Primogen, led a bipartisan assault team consisting of the Sheriff of Caliburn Danny DeVitae, the Warden of Blood Damien Blackfeather, and the Advocate of Brighton Beach Sammie Okra, among others. The goal of the assault was to bring Darius into custody of the Camarilla Court and present them for trial.
It is unclear if Darius was expecting the assault, but the team met heavy resistance. The assault team entered the estate and found it immediately defended by at least four armed ghoul retainers, and another kindred retainer. Between the incendiary rounds from the automatic weapons fire, and the kindred retainer packed full of cybernetic modifications, the assault team was slowly whittled down in resources. Darius using Elder powers of the Ventrue Clan on top made the successful completion of the raid impossible.
The only final death of the encounter came from Darius's side, in the form of his kindred retainer. The assault team managed to escape with heavy damage due to the quick thinking of Danny DeVitae before losing anyone on their side. Darius Marcus most notably escaped entirely unscathed from the assault.
Blood Hunt Declaration[edit | edit source]
On March 23, 2052, Seneschal William Bagg called a Blood Hunt on Darius Marcus.
From the desk of His Royal Highness William Bagg, Seneschal of the Island of Caliburn Orders: Declaration of the Blood Hunt
By the power vested in me as Seneschal of Caliburn Island, and under the directive of His Imperial Majesty Prince William Biltmore, I hereby issue the following orders with immediate effect:
Declaration of the Blood Hunt.
A Blood Hunt is hereby declared against Darius Marcus of Clan Ventrue, effective immediately. Darius Marcus is declared Forsaken for grievous breaches against our laws and the Masquerade, actions that threaten the safety and secrecy of our kindred society. These include, but are not limited to:
- Loyalty to Leto of Clan Ventrue, of the Camarilla Red List,
- Violation of the Tradition of Domain by impersonating Elder Kelson O’Dell and visiting the haven of Baron Sammie Okra in an attempt to destabilize relations between the Camarilla and Anarch Movement,
- Violations of the Traditions of Progeny and Accounting by siring at least one other kindred without permission of his Elder,
- Violation of the Tradition of Destruction by attempting to bring Final Death upon loyal members of the Camarilla and its allies
- Other grievous crimes against His Imperial Majesty’s Domain.
Objectives.
All kindred under the domain of Caliburn Island are authorized and compelled to participate in the hunt for Darius Marcus. The primary objective is the capture and/or neutralization of the target to answer for his crimes. Secondary objectives include the gathering of any intelligence related to the accused's allies, resources, and recent activities.
Rules of Engagement.
The hunt shall be conducted with utmost discretion to maintain the Masquerade. Any breaches will be met with severe consequences. Use of mortal assets is permitted but should be exercised with caution to avoid undue attention.
Coordination and Communication.
All actions and sightings related to the Blood Hunt must be reported directly to the Seneschal's office for coordination. A central command post will be established at Le Château Souverain for the duration of the hunt. Secure communication channels will be provided upon request. Rewards and Recompense.
The kindred who delivers Darius Marcus to me,, or provides conclusie proof of having been the hand which brought him the Final Death, shall be declared the victor. The prize of the Amaranth is Sanctioned for claim by the victor, that the blood of this traitor may be used to strengthen us. Conclusion of the Hunt.
The Blood Hunt shall remain in effect until Darius Marcus meets the Final Death. Any further developments or orders will be communicated with due haste.
Acknowledgment of Orders. All members of the Camarilla should acknowledge receipt and understanding of these orders. Failure to comply with the directives of the Blood Hunt will be considered a breach of fealty to the Prince and will be dealt with accordingly.

Second Estate Raid and Capture, April 27th, 2052[edit | edit source]
A joint assault team composing of kindred from most sects on the island made a split assault on Darius Marcus's estate. One team scaled the estate to enter through the roof, lead by Seneshal William Bagg, Ventrue Primogen Selene Blackwood, and included the newly appointed Brujah Primogen Tristian Allerdale, joined by John 'Skiz' James. The "roof" team proceeded to work their way downwards through the building and began clearing rooms. Entering from the front door was the remainder of the assault force, composing of Advocate of Brighton Beach Sammie Okra, Warden of Blood Damien Blackfeather, Camarilla Sheriff Danny DeVitae, Constable of Brighton Beach Psycho, Viscount Emil Nikolai Dragomir, and Antonio Sanchez. The "ground" team began clearing rooms headed upwards into the building, during which they encountered and silently dispatched a group of mortal guards.
The "roof" team was the first to make contact, kicking down a door that lead into a room containing Darius Marcus, and a kindred retainer with strong cybernetics. As the team entered the room, John 'Skiz' James was unfortunately overpowered by the kindred retainer who staked John with a shard of wood from the door and threw his paralyzed body into the roaring fireplace. The "ground" team was delayed in reaching combat, as the team was under Quietus silencing powers to attempt to move stealthily through the building. Because of this, they were not alerted that combat had started until a few moments later. They began to rush upstairs after hearing the combat taking place.
Rifle fire was exchanged between Psycho and several kindred and ghoul retainers. Tristian Allerdale and Danny DeVitae dispatched the cybernetic kindred retainer guarding Darius Marcus. Danny DeVitae was in a controlled rage frenzy for most of the fight. Damien Blackfeather, Antonio Sanchez, and Psycho ultimately ashed the remainder of the retainers in the building. William Bagg took minor injuries from rifle fire, primarily providing support in the form of smoke grenades and other abilities. John 'Skiz' James unfortunately met final death at the hands of Sammie Okra who was compelled to attack his allies by Darius Marcus's use of mind-controlling powers.
Darius Marcus, being whittled down by both Sammie Okra and Danny DeVitae, attempted to flee from the estate out of a second story window. He landed on the lawn and attempted to run, being chased by Danny DeVitae as Sammie Okra used powers from the window above. Darius Marcus ultimately ran into the vast amount of forces outside who were prepared to prevent his escape. Danny DeVitae delivered the final stake to his heart.
The remainder of Darius Marcus's kindred retainers who were staked were promptly put to final death in the lobby of the estate, at the request of Elder Gabriel Payne. Darius Marcus was taken in to Camarilla custody to await trial by the Seneschal, William Bagg. Darius Marcus was executed later the same night.
