Character Table, Downtime Submission Form, and other information

Please send backstories to sam@gib.games with the subject "[character name] background story". If you want hints from your backstory to show up in downtimes or if you want to get suggestions for character ties, cc brown.hair.valkyrie@gmail.com or share a Google doc with that address.

The Dark Skylines Character Sheet will help automate the generation of character sheet based on your character's stats. It will also generate a hash to import your character sheet into Dark Skyline VRchat world. Please make a copy before editing

If you would like to record Acknowledged or other status and would prefer not speak to the Harpy directly, you may use the Dark Skylines Status Form. The Harpy may seek confirmation for self-serving reports.

Anyone who, for whatever reason, cannot or does not wish to speak to the Harpy, may record the offer, transfer, and repayment of boons using the Boons Owed, Boons Transferred, and Boons Repaid forms. Please note that if a boon is reported by the creditor, I intend to reach out to the debtor for confirmation before adding it to the record. Likewise, I will be checking transferred boons recorded by the transferee and repaid boons recorded by the creditor.

IC Bigotry

While there is certainly bigotry against real-life groups in the World of Darkness as a whole, PCs who have intolerance/bigotry/hatred toward any IRL marginalized group will not be approved.

To answer what is likely a follow-up: "Can I play someone who is a part of [insert racially-charged historical event here]?" The answer is yes—with a few caveats:

• The event in question must be prior to 1900
• Regardless of what side your character was on, this does not absolve you of the above rule related to bigotry in characters. Your character may have been bigoted in their background, but they cannot be bigoted now.
• You cannot display symbolism that is associated with bigoted idealogies
• You should not use an avatar that represents those ideologies either.
• If another player expresses to you or the narrator team that your concept or background makes them uncomfortable, we may ask you to change it. Please do not argue with us if we do that. :/
• Under no circumstances can your character be a Nazi, KKK member, Skinhead, etc.
