The Compact
The Compact is an ancient agreement between the supernaturals of Caliburn Island. While the exact terms of the Compact are not currently well-known, the most notable of the terms are the ability for supernatural creatures to clandestinely meet once a month without threat of violence. A Compact meeting is traditionally called by the Prince of Caliburn Island, though it has recently also been called by the Anarchs, the Independent Alliance, and on once occasion an Archon.
The Rules of Compact[edit | edit source]
During compact, no violence can ever be made. Anyone attempting any kind of violence at Compact is immediately whisked away to another realm of existence, which local vampires often call getting "1984'd". Use of any kind of powers at all is limited to the following:
- The use of Mask of 1000 faces or similar powers to hide one's face (this may not be used to impersonate someone else)
- Transformative powers which change one's appearance and have no cost (such as garou changing forms or a Gangrel with Protean Blood
- Wraiths manifesting or shifters crossing the Gauntlet
OOC Note: The rule of thumb is that any action which would require a test, or which may require a Narrator's ruling, is not allowed.
Mortals are compelled to completely avoid the area where the Compact is held, making any Compact Masquerade-safe by default. Similarly, during compact Garou do not trigger The Delirium, changelings do not suffer the ill-effects of Banality, etc.
